CAQ MONTHLY CHALLENGE
NERIKOMI SCULPTURE (NOT A VESSEL)
Challenge Focus:
Use nerikomi techniques to create a patterned sculptural form.
Technical Requirements:
- Must use nerikomi (coloured clay patterning)
- Must be sculptural — not a vessel
- Patterns must be integral to the clay body
Submission Requirements:
All works must be designed, created, and completed within the nominated month.
- Open to CAQ Members only
- Entrants must register via the portal on the Website
- Entry Limit: Each member may submit 2 entries per month
- 1 high‑quality image per entry
- Neutral‑background
- Submit by 15th November (11:59pm AEST)
Assessment Criteria:
- Response to brief
- Technical execution
- Creativity
- Resolution & presentation
