CAQ Monthly Technical Challenge — Technical Brief 

Challenge Focus:   

Sculpt an animal — real, imaginary, or symbolic. 

Technical Requirements: 

  • Any clay body or technique 
  • Surface decoration optional 

      Submission Requirements:

      • Open to CAQ Members only
      • Entry Limit: Each member may submit a maximum of 2 entries per month to the monthly challenge.
      • 1 high‑quality image per entry
      • Neutral‑background
      • Submit by final day of the month (11:59pm AEST)

      Assessment Criteria:

      • Response to brief
      • Technical execution
      • Creativity
      • Resolution & presentation
