Sarah Wong, Clever Clay
Sarah Wong, a potter and glassworker of over 30 years’ experience, has taught adults & children at several art schools in Victoria & Queensland. Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries throughout Australia, including; Museum of Brisbane Store, Craft QLD Gallery, Robyn Bauer Studio, Kirra Gallery (Federation Square, Vic), Greenhills Gallery (Adelaide), and Elements Gallery (Subiaco, WA).
After a lengthy hiatus, Sarah has established a new smaller studio in suburban Annerley, QLD where she pursues her love of clay, making both functional and decorative ware. All of the work is wheel thrown and fired to stoneware or porcelain temperatures making them very robust. Her functional pottery is dishwasher and oven safe. Some works have embellishments such as natural grasses, gold leaf or twine. These are not dishwasher or oven safe.
Sarah’s work can be found at Facebook or Instagram
She can be contacted on 0421 216 810 and conducts private wheel work lessons.
