My passion was ignited at high school but it took a few years, I enrolled into 2 different private classes during the week for a couple of years and then attended Southbank TAFE where I studied a Cert I and III in Ceramics and an Associate Diploma. Since then I worked in the industry (sales) for approximately 11yrs, have attended endless workshops, am currently teaching privately and always seeking more knowledge. The passion still continues.

Even while I was quite young I enjoyed creating. I tried many arts and crafts but pottery is the only creativity that has held my interest, the possibilities and the endless techniques to experience and learn. I am personally torn between the wheel and sculptural work.

I enjoy creating sculptures from images I have photographed but I am still constantly drawn to the wheel, the way the clay rises up into a beautiful form and the way the clay feels in your hands. Oh if I had more time! I also enjoy teaching, the passing on of knowledge, igniting the passion for clay in others, the amazing community of creative people and the great friendships that have developed.

Currently I hold classes twice a week and regular Saturday workshops; we enjoy a pleasant relaxed environment in my spacious well equipped studio, customised classes and workshops to suit individual needs. I offer my students many techniques and firing finishes as well as various events throughout the year to keep everyone excited and motivated.
