The therapeutic value of art fascinates me and inspires my multidisciplinary arts practice. Conceptually, my pieces are inspired by psychology, symbolism, the collective unconscious, dream, written word and individual narratives.

 

Using hand and wheel building to bring ceramic sculpture to life size, embellished surfaces enhance the painterly detail. Tile production counterbalances the intense design and fabrication stage and the physicality of making 20 – 30 kilos of clay stand and deliver, through firing and glazing processes.

 

I worked in the fields of Art teaching P-12 and L6 Disability over 25 years. I am a published author of poetry and children’s stories.  Being in my home studio, producing personalised commission pieces and large scale works is my joy. I am currently participating in the Queensland Sculpture Society Show at Mt. Coot-tha Botanical Gardens taking place from August to October, 2026.
